Dave Allard traveled from California up to Alberta and brought this big boy home with him. Temperatures were below 0 Fahrenheit but Dave was good to go in his Rancher Jacket and Woolpower Ullfrotte Thermals. Also, our light wool grip-dot gloves can fill the bill in some surprisingly harsh conditions.

"Booner & Booner!!" --- Booner Beck of Texas headed North to Alberta looking for one of those big Canadian Whitetails. This 183 point giant showed up on the 4th day of Booner's hunt, with temperatures as low as -36 degrees Fahrenheit (-38C). Booner definitely earned his Booner!

Pete Ramsey hunted with Athabasca River Outfitters for this big beauty with a tall, mahogany rack. Pete thinks theAthabasca guys are great, and what I particularly liked was that Pete described this as an active hunt. Tracking and still-hunting through VERY remote wilderness!! That sounds awfully interesting to me. How many people are taking BOOK whitetails by tracking? Guys in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont hunt this way sometimes, but in Alberta those tracks might lead to a 180!!!

Ron and Corinne Jones trap a 1000 square mile concession in the Rockies. The terrain is too rugged to traverse with snowmobiles, so when the snow gets too deep for the horses .... they are on snowshoes!!! Here Ron sets up a cubby for marten (sable). Lynx is another favorite.
